Who Can Join?
Will you be enrolled in a high school in New York State this Fall? Need some extra support in figuring out what colleges to attend, how to make your college list, how to write a college essay, how to manage your financial aid, or anything else related to your career? If so, we encourage you to become a HEROES mentee! We are looking for motivated and committed students to join our program for the Spring 2024 semester (February to May).
Program Details
✅ Receive an hour-long mentorship session via Zoom every two weeks to learn about career readiness skills including: college prep, time management, financial literacy, resume review, job preparation, and more
✅ Be matched with a college mentor who will help you throughout your high school process with a one-on-one approach and expertise
✅ Be given an opportunity to network with current college students and receive mentorship not only relating to your academic success but also emotional and social wellbeing success
Program Logistics
✏️ We are looking for New York State high school students
✏️ We give priority to low-income, first-generation, and BIPOC applicants
✏️ Mentorship meetings will take place once every two weeks
✏️ All mentorship sessions will take place via Zoom
✏️ All mentees should have stable internet and a laptop or computer to join
